Message

Human passion can create value greater than jewels.

Simply viewing a jewel from a different angle will cause its value to change dramatically. The same is true for people. Factors such as achievements, career, gender, age, and nationality are only one aspect. The true value of a person lies deeper. Kishun has continued to grow by discovering that value and providing a stage for it to shine. Sales, profits, and number of employees—all of these figures continue to rise at Kishun, with no sign of slowing down.

If the heat of magma can crystallize jewels, then the passion of humans can forge even greater value than that of jewels. We encourage you to take the first step in your career with Kishun. More than any other company, we believe in possibilities and continue to grow. By working at our company, you will discover that your true value is beyond your greatest imagination. We promise you a brilliant career.

Revasal Story Case By Takahiro Ushiku

Potential shone through his awkwardness and illuminated a bright future.

“Why did you decide to apply for a job at Kishun?” asked President Tsuji during my interview. It wasn’t a difficult question. Nevertheless, Ushiku was so nervous that he was incapable of answering. He remained silent for a full 30 seconds. It was already the fall of his senior year at university. He had yet to receive any job offers. Ushiku was growing increasingly concerned and wondered what he would do if he failed the interview with Kishun. However, the interview took a positive note when the conversation turned to track and field. Ushiku had competed as a sprinter from the fifth grade of elementary school until his senior year of university. Sprinting is a sport where athletes spend an entire year training hard to shave just 0.1 seconds off their time. When Ushiku spoke passionately about the perseverance and diligence he had cultivated through sprinting, Tsuji was moved. “Through his awkwardness, I saw a solid core,” recalls Tsuji. “I knew that it would take time, but I believed that he would definitely grow into an asset for our company.” By displaying his passionate spirit, Ushiku came back and secured a job offer.

Ushiku was determined to become a member known for contributing to Kishun’s growth.

After joining the company, Ushiku’s growth was just as Tsuji had predicted. In his first year, Ushiku’s performance was behind that of his peers. He did, however, continue to diligently participate in purchasing role-playing training, take the feedback to heart, and constantly apply what he learned to his field buying activities. As a result, he received a significant promotion to chief during his second year at Kishun. Despite his success, Ushiku was never complacent. He always has a high level of ambition for his work. “Right now, I strongly feel that ‘because the company is growing, I am also growing,’ explains Ushiku. Going forward, I want to produce results that will make people notice my contributions to Kishun’s growth.” The way in which Ushiku now speaks with such confidence is a far cry from the nervous silence he displayed at his job interview.

Revasal Story Case By Masahiro Oku

Overwhelming skill as a craftsman erases other weaknesses.

Oku has crafted jewelry for over 20 years. His skills are unmatched. However, he lacks communication ability. Oku was unable to fully convey his achievements, skills, and passion for work during the interview, and as a result, he failed to obtain a job offer. “I had given up on a career in crafting jewelry and was looking for a job in a different industry, he recalls.” Nevertheless, Oku ultimately joined Kishun three months later. This surprising turn of events started with President Tsuji of Kishun. Tsuji was unable to forget how he had glimpsed Oku’s ability and skill during the interview. “Even though he wasn’t the best communicator, I could discern his excellence as a craftsman—it was evident from the honesty imbued in every word he spoke and his hands, which had grown thick through years of experience,” explains Tsuji. “I couldn’t forget the impression that he made. So, about three months later, I contacted him to see if he was still interested in a job at Kishun.” In this way, Oku made a huge comeback from initial rejection.

He was grateful for the opportunity offered by Tsuji and improved the technical skills of Kishun.

“I was surprised that there’s still a company with such great momentum in the jewelry industry,” says Oku. Oku has been in the jewelry industry for over 20 years and has seen a variety of companies. The majority of those companies were in decline and had been devastated by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, Kishun has continued to achieve rapid growth and shows no signs of slowing down. “In the jewelry industry, it is customary to treat craftsmen like tools,” remarks Oku. “But Kishun treats me as an individual and carefully evaluates my efforts and achievements. I believe that’s why I am able to achieve personal growth.” Oku wields his skills at Kishun, the company that changed his life. He passes on his skills to younger employees, thereby raising the bar for technical skills at Kishun.

Revasal Story Case By Satoshi Nishikawa

An impassioned direct message that made him want to work together.

Nishikawa started looking for a new job when he was 36 years old. He expected to struggle in a job market where young people have an advantage. Feeling the need to differentiate himself from other job seekers, Nishikawa decided to take the initiative and contact President Tsuji on X (formerly Twitter). Nishikawa sent a direct message summarizing his career, achievements, reasons for wanting to work at Kishun, and the value he could provide. He received a reply immediately. Within a month, he had received a job offer. “I had received job applications via direct messages in the past,” says Tsuji. “But there was something different about Nishikawa’s message. It was the first time I’d seen someone write about the value they could provide with such specificity and persuasiveness. Right away, I felt that this was a person that I want to talk with and work with.” The passion and quality of his application made quite an impression on Tsuji, and was ultimately a key factor in helping Nishikawa overcome the age barrier.

He fulfilled the “contract” with Tsuji and attained a managerial position within 10 months of joining the company

He would be promoted to assistant section manager within a year. —Nishikawa had made such a “contract” with President Tsuji. “At my age, I needed to become an immediate asset,” recalls Nishikawa, who made good on the promise in his contract. He performed well and was promoted to assistant section manager within 10 months of joining the company. “Kishun doesn’t judge people by their age,” says Tsuji when remarking on Nishikawa’s remarkable growth. “We believe that as long as they believe in their own potential, a person can produce outstanding results regardless of their age. Nishikawa embodies that philosophy.” Nishikawa has experience starting a business in the past. “Someday, I would like to start a business that is part of the Kishun brand,” says Nishikawa in regard to his future aspirations. He knows what steps need to be taken to make that goal of reality. “The first step is further improving the performance for which I am responsible in purchasing.” After being hired and promoted to assistant section manager shortly thereafter, Nishikawa is just beginning to write his story at Kishun.
